McAmmond Will Be A Game-Time Decision

That's some very good news. Apparently, Dean McAmmond isn't hurt too seriously. Read the whole story here.

I hope that McAmmond is able to participate and play as well as he did before getting hit. As we saw with Holmstrom in the last series, his production dropped significantly after his encounter with Pronger.

It still doesn't take away from the fact that Pronger got off easy and should be thanking his lucky stars that he is able to play again this season.

The fact is, this is exactly the type of hit the NHL is trying to eliminate from the league. They are not sending a very good message by only suspending Pronger one game, especially given his prior history.

And it's official McAmmond is a scratch. The punishment just doesn't fit the crime. Maybe Ottawa should have been given a 5 minute power play to start off the game. That would have made up for the no call.
