McPhee on Fehr: "We'll be patient and take our time"
Earlier today, I reported that right wing Eric Fehr didn't look ready to participate in training camp when it begins Friday. I asked GM George McPhee about Fehr's condition later, and here's what he had to say:
"It's hard to say at this point. This is not unlike what Brian Sutherby went through a few years ago when he had an injury that really dogged him for a couple of years. It's unfortunate, but it happens. The good news is he's young [so] it's seldom ever permanent. We'll be patient and take our time and do it right."
It's really too bad for Eric. This was supposed to be a big year for him.

Bad news on Fehr :-(. I had high hopes for that kid.
I suppose that brings us down to 5 or so for those evasive right wing spots... (At least for the start of the season)
Assuming:
Ovechkin Nylander Kozlov
Semin Backstrom Clark/???
Pettinger Gordon/Sutherby ???/Clark
Brashear Sutherby/Gordon ???/???
with Bouchard, Bradley, Klepis, Flash, Laich fighting for 2 spots (maybe moving pettinger or brash to RW). Did I miss anybody?
This should be a fun camp!
