Morning Skate Update

Okay, so you've probably already seen that Tyler Sloan has been recalled. Well, neither Shaone Morrisonn nor Sergei Fedorov are on the ice, so that explains that.

But there's another mystery (to me at least). Chris Clark is wearing an orange jersey and is not assigned to a line. In the past, injured players have worn orange jerseys. I hope to get an update in a bit.

The forward lines look like this:
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Semin
(These three were together for the last two goals vs. Carolina)
Fleischmann-Nylander-Kozlov
Laich-Steckel-Fehr
Brashear-Gordon-Bradley

Also, looks like Brent Johnson will get the start tonight. He left the ice before Jose Theodore.

I'll have to get the pairings for you later. The 'D' is rotating at the moment.

Clarkie's in orange?

OK... I'll wait to hear more. Bad news on both Fedorov and Morrisonn... but I thought Sloan was hurt too?

I wonder if these injuries are due to the "pond" ice inside the VC???

Re: Sloan - No, I hadn't read thanks to Friday night obligations, but I expected as much if Fedorov and Morrisson are both out. I hope he really is healthy.

As for the lines, it's good to know that Boudreau isn't shuffling more than he needs to, and it's really good to see Fehr get a shot. Here's to Fehr getting us the GWG, because if he does, no way Gabby can ignore him after that.

Our thin defense gets thinner...

I'm just glad we still have Poti healthy to calm stuff down back there. Mo hasn't been great this season, but he's still one of our top 4.

Wonder if Clark is really injured, or if he's going to be a healthy scratch. Needs a wake up call, that's for sure.
