Olympic Stadium Update
Here's the latest on the possibility of the Caps facing the Canadiens at Olympic Stadium in Montreal on Nov. 28.
According to sources, the Caps will be in Montreal on that date. And the idea of playing at Olympic Stadium that day has been discussed. But those discussions are in the very, very preliminary stages.
I'm also hearing that this game -- if it does indeed happen, and that's still a big if -- would not preclude the Caps from participating in a future Winter Classic.
So it sounds like you should hold off on purchasing your flight to Montreal. For now, at least.

RE: Tallon
Him getting fired was inevitable, but it was expected to be later in the season, not now. It's not like he was pulling the strings at draft day/free agency. That team belongs to the Bowmans.

Seriously- anyone know the dates for training camp?

Tallon got pushed out because he wasn't a good money or contracts manager. He was late sending qualifying contracts to his 8 RFAs and it ended up costing more money to sign players like Barker. Public embarassment in Chicago usually leads to a canning, a caning, or a "re-assignment" as in Tallon's case. He's still a sharp personnel guy.

Darn it! I want to go... Hopefully they move forward with it. SW has some very cheap airfares to Albany right now. The drive up from there is easy.

Has nothing to do with hockey, but I thought this article is pretty comical about our "friends" from Pittsburgh.

Another side note, I saw something on TV couple of weeks ago. Morse code is much faster than texting. I used to send and recieve 30 5 charter words per min. 150 letters per min. beats the heck out of texting. this from an aging old f t

Way off subject here, but does anyone have a good picture of Q. Laing without his fake teeth? I went up to Kettler today to watch the Dev Camp and brought some friends who had never been into hockey before and somehow got on the subject of Q and want to show them the gap toothed smile we've all come to know and love.

Hey: Capt_Kirk
That is a beautiful face. The caption is wrong though. On the right side of the picture it looks like brooks laich(you can see the 1 from the 21 on his arm), not steckel

I'm pretty sure that's not Laich. It looks like Steckel. The number may just look weird because of the angle.
