Ovechkin In His Own Words ...

Just in case you missed this in today's 50-cent edition, I spoke to Alex last week about what it meant to him to win gold at the IIHF world championships.

It's for all of Russia, everywhere, we all share this gold medal. It was also special to beat Canada in their home [Russia rallied to win, 5-4, in overtime in Quebec City] after Canada won last year in Moscow. We were pretty excited because we had to come back, and it was Canada, in front of their fans.
