Schultz Sidelined With Knee Strain

Defenseman Jeff Schultz suffered a knee strain in the first period of tonight's 3-2 shootout loss to the New York Islanders. I did not see him after the game, but a team official said he's day-to-day.

Schultz's status for the weekend games against Carolina and New Jersey is in some doubt. If he's not available, there's a strong chance that Sami Lepisto could be called up.
