Source: Caps Have Inquired About Yashin

I just got off the phone with one of my sources who said the Caps have shown some interest in signing center Alexei Yashin in recent days, but that they haven't made a formal offer and there have been no discussions today. Sounds to me like the Caps were just feeling out Yashin and could use him as a back up plan if other things fall through.
