Sunday Morning Skate
Everyone is present and accounted for, including Alexander Semin.
There's been a shakeup to the lines and parings, though.
Here are the new foward combos:
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Clark
Fleischmann-Nylander-Kozlov
Pettinger-Gordon-Semin
Brashear-Steckel-Laich
Here are the 'D' pairings:
Erskine-Morrisonn
Schultz-Pothier
Poti-Green
Jurcina-Eminger
Has the Jurcina benching carried over? Looks that way.
The spare forwards are Sutherby and Bradley.
Update: Barring a setback, Semin is going to play tomorrow against Florida, according to Coach Hanlon, who said that he's 100-percent recovered. Semin's going to see at least a couple of games on the third line so Hanlon can keep his minutes down.
Judging from practice, Semin's also going to get some time on the first unit power play with Nylander, Clark, Ovechkin and Poti.
The Caps are going to have to make a roster move to make room for Semin. No word on that yet.
Update: I forgot to post this earlier. Backstrom had replaced Semin as Ovechkin's roomate on the road the past few weeks. So I asked Backstrom what's going to happen when Semin comes back? To which Backstrom responded: "Maybe I'll sleep on the couch." He was joking. I think.
Update:Forgot one more thing: Hanlon said Semin will play right wing on the third line.
