The Waiting is the Hardest Part
I stole a second to get a new post up so that you all don't have to navigate through too many comments, and say that defenseman Shaone Morrisonn's arbitration hearing went off as scheduled this morning.
One thing I should have clarified in the previous post though, is that the 48 hours it takes for a decision to be handed down is in reference to business days. So we'll most likely have to wait out the weekend to hear about the awarded contract amount, hence the Tom Petty reference.
While everyone starves for hockey this summer, Alex Ovechkin is going to Beijing to cheer on the Russian Olympians. Here's the Sovetsky Sport story for those of you who can read Russian and thanks to Alex Ovetjkin a translation for those who can't.
