Thursday Injury Update
Most of the Caps did not practice today (it was optional given the busy schedule).
Among the ones who weren't out there were Clark and Semin, who are nursing injuries.
Clark didn't finish the third period last night because of an undisclosed injury. He is "iffy" for tomorrow's game at Carolina and Saturday's contest at Florida, according to interim Coach Bruce Boudreau. Clark wouldn't say what exactly is ailing him -- he wasn't limping and I didn't observe any braces or bandages -- but the captain also said he's not sure whether he's going to be on the ice this weekend.
Semin, meantime, re-injured his sprained right ankle after tweaking it in overtime. He is expected to travel with the team this afternoon, but it's unclear whether he's going to play.
Should know more about the status of both players later if/when I get a hold of General Manager George McPhee.
If one of them can't go, that means Fleischmann will get back into the lineup. If both aren't able to play, sounds like they may need to make a recall (though I don't see it coming to that.)
