Today's Lineup: Penguins at Caps
Simeon Varlamov will start for the Caps this afternoon and is set to oppose Marc-Andre Fleury. Varlamov has never faced the Penguins' potent attack. Fleury, meantime, had a .912 save percentage and a 2.67 goals against average during the regular season, but he struggled against the Caps, posting just a 4.73 gaa and a .862 Sv% against them.
Looks like Michael Nylander is the healthy scratch while Jeff Schultz (back) and Donald Brashear (suspended) are also out.
Based on warmups, the rest of the Caps' lineup should look like this:
Forwards
Ovechkin-Fedorov-Kozlov
Fleischmann-Backstrom-Semin
Laich-Steckel-Bradley
Fehr-Gordon-Clark
Defense
Morrisonn-Green
Poti-Jurcina
Erskine-Pothier
If there are any changes, I'll post an update shortly. If not, check back later for some postgame notes and quotes.
