Tonight's Lines

It was fun trying to figure out lines during warm ups today with the players all wearing Mike Gartner's No. 11 but here's what you should expect against the Leafs.

Ovechkin-Backstrom-Kozlov
Giroux-Nylander-Clark
Steckel-Laich-Fehr
Brashear-Gordon-Bradley

Morrisonn-Collins
Alzner-Jurcina
Schultz-Green

Theodore

*Before the game Coach Bruce Boudreau was asked about the decision to send Tyler Sloan back to Hershey. "Sean Collins is playing pretty good," said Boudreau, who added that Sloan had struggled a bit in recent games. "(Collins is) a right-handed defenseman which is what we need at this point."

This could be a smoke show for the Caps tonight.

Did Semin skate in the warm ups or is he still weeks away?

Looking Ahead: Real Good News

The last 21 games of the season the Caps schedule includes:

13 games against division foe
4 against Atlanta
3 against Tampa
3 against Florida
3 against carolina (2 at home)

2 games against the Maple Leafs

1 against the Bruins (A)
1 against the Penguins (H)
1 against the Flyers (A)
1 against the Predators (A)
1 against the Sabers (H)
1 against the Islanders (A)

Looking good for the stretch run...

GMGM and Coach need to encourage ample time off for our injured to get healthy. No need to rush them back.

They really need to get some "wrap it up music" to play to move things along.

They're wearing white because it had something to do with the Gartner ceremony. It was nice to see Bonzai during the intermission. Wonder when the Caps will retire his jersey.

Gotta say -- Schultz hasn't impressed me so far. Getting outplayed and pickpocketed, leading to a shot on Theo. That big doofus needs to wake the hell up and start knocking people on their butts.

they are wearing white in honor of Mike Gartner - caps retired his jersey, No. 11, before the game - home white was standard when he played

They are wearing white or should i say "Hospital Whites" because that the only uniform colour that they have seen all season!
