Tonight's Lineup
Before I get to to tonight's lineup, I asked Bruce Boudreau a few minutes ago if he coached Sean Avery in Manchester. His response was vintage Boudreau.
"It's in the book," Boudreau quipped, referring to his forthcoming biography. He paused, then cracked with a smile, "I had him for a week. ...It felt like a year."
Apparently, there's an entire chapter in the book that will be dedicated to Avery.
On to the lineup. No changes from this morning:
Forwards
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Nylander
Fleischmann-Aucoin-Kozlov
Laich-Gordon-Fehr
Brashear-Steckel-Bradley
Defense
Alzner-Jurcina
Lepisto-Morrisonn
Sloan-Helmer
Brent Johnson (5-4-2, 2.81 gaa, .909 Sv%) is set to start in goal and will oppose Joey MacDonald (10-9-2, 2.89 gaa, .907 Sv%).
Check back after the game for some notes and quotes.

Oh crap, why is Alzner paired with Jurcina on the top D line?
I don't see Jurcina being ready for top D line yet. I think Mo and Alzner would be a better pairing.
But I suppose that's why Bruce is the coach and I'm the fan.
Best of luck boys!

Stinks all 7 are out and I think its funny people are worried about Jurnica on the top defensive pairing. All those rookies getting PT will only help our team get deeper for the future.

Hello Caps Fans!
Been watching the game but just now got a chance to post. We look like we've got some jump.
Yeah, I agree. On paper, the pairings and the team as a whole look pretty weak. That just means we have to suck it up and dig.
Lets Go Cap-I-Tals!!!

might have to finish without ovie tonight. dumb penalty by nylander at the end of the period. someone needs to step up. we forced the issue in the first and need to continue. we have a tendency sometimes to start quick then hold on.

@ Bernie
are you serious with aucoin? Then you need to hurry and bury Laich cause his missed his easy one also.
Posted by: cocorules | December 4, 2008 8:33 PM | Report abuse
coco,
Laich has a contract with the Caps. If Aucoin wants one too, he needs to bury those breakaways, ya know?
