Tonight's Lineup

Brent Johnson (1-1-2, 2.47 GAA, .914 Sv%) will start in goal for the Caps and he's expected to oppose Cam Ward (4-2-2, 2.58 GAA, .922 Sv%). Coach Bruce Boudreau said moments ago that there aren't any changes to the lineup, so it should look like this:

Forwards
Ovechkin-Fedorov-Semin
Laich-Backstrom-Kozlov
Fleischmann-Nylander-Clark
Brashear-Gordon-Bradley
(Scratches--Steckel, Fehr)

Defense
Morrisonn-Poti
Schultz-Green
Erskine-Jurcina

I'll check in later with some post-game thoughts.

Can the Caps play Pittsburgh instead?

Does anyone know if the game can be found online anywhere like against Buffalo when CSN had a problem for the first period? Long story but issues with cable are keeping me from being able to see the game. Any help would be really appreciated.

Man I wish I was there :(

I think we'll win tonight... we have to.

The line changes won't matter much, the boys are ready to rock and come together tonight and when they do, nobody can stop them.

The time is also right for the canes after they won 2 straight.

The only negative feeling will be: "why didn't they play like this on tuesday? Will they play this well against the rangers?" (and sorry to point this out... I guess I'm a bit of a frustrated fan :D )

In any case, LETS GO CAPS!

Where is everybody? I thought there would be more people commenting considering this is our biggest game so far this year.

Posted by: dcsportsfan13 | November 6, 2008 8:52 PM | Report abuse

Very entertaining game so far. More hitting and better skating. A little too loose defensively late in the 2nd that cost us a goal that Johnny did not look all the great on. Other then still not being able to score goals, the team looks better then they have for most of the season so far. A little wide open but that SHOULD favor the Caps.
Enjoy the 3rd everyone!

Boudreau must be reading this blog and following my advice. I suggest the Russian line from the last Worlds, turn on the TV and what do I see?
