Tonight's Lineup: Penguins at Caps
One day after almost pulling goalie Simeon Varlamov in the first period of the Caps' 5-3 loss in Pittsburgh, Coach Bruce Boudreau has given the rookie a chance to redeem himself. Varlamov will make his first start on back-to-back nights in his brief NHL career tonight in Game 5, while the Pens will go with Marc-Andre Fleury.
The Pens won't have veteran Sergei Gonchar, who suffered a right knee injury when he was hit by Alex Ovechkin in the first period of Game 4. It's unclear who will replace him, but it will be either Alex Goligoski or Philippe Boucher.
Based on the pregame warm-up, Boudreau has shuffled the lines again. The lineup could look like this:
Forwards
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Kozlov
Laich-Fedorov-Semin
Steckel-Gordon-Bradley
Fleischmann-Beagle-Clark
Defense
Morrisonn-Green
Jurcina-Poti
Erskine-Pothier
As usual, I'll have more after the game.

Girioux or Aucion should be up here instead of Beagle.
I have a good feeling about this game.
