Tonight's Lineup vs. Chicago
Olie Kolzig will start in goal and is expected to oppose Nikolai Khabibulin on Tony Esposito night at United Center.
Coach Bruce Boudreau has shuffled his forward lines. He'll sit Eric Fehr and go with Quintin Laing, a former Chicago farmhand who played with several of the current Blackhawks. Laing was a healthy scratch the past four games. Joining Fehr in press box will Steve Eminger and Brent Johnson. Chris Clark, meantime, is not ready to return from the groin injury that's sidelined him for most of the season.
Here are the revamped forward combos:
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Kozlov
Fleischmann-Fedorov-Semin
Laing-Gordon-Cooke
Brashear-Laich-Bradley
The 'D' pairings remain the same.
The opening faceoff will be a littler later than usual as the Blackhawks honor Hall of Fame goaltender Tony Esposito with an on-ice ceremony before the game. In addition to Ovechkin needing only two goals to reach 60, another thing to keep an eye on is the rookie scoring race. Backstrom trails Chicago's Patrick Kane by a point.
