Travel advisory for Caps games this week
Driving to Caps games this week? Might want to rethink that decision and opt for Metro, cabbing or even walking, because some giant alien robots will be causing a good deal of gridlock around Verizon Center during tonight's and Wednesday's contests (both at 7 p.m.).
The DC Office of Motion Picture and Television has issued a traffic alert surrounding street closures and parking restrictions going into affect from October 11 through 15 for the filming of the Transformers 3 motion picture. Travel to the Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards games at Verizon Center between October 11 and 15 will be affected by the street closures and parking restrictions.
Here's a list of the street closures in case you're willing to brave it out there. (Say hi to Optimus Prime for me.)

Did anyone hear about the Devils waiving PL3? Hahahaha....
(Of course, their roster/salary situation probably had a little to do with it but still.)

Seriously? I'm going to be inconvenienced for that piece of garbage movie? arrrgggghhhh.
Must find alternative route and avoid Metro.

If people are off for Columbus day, Rangers and Isles have good one going on the Center Ice preview. Some jawing in the warms ups with, you guessed it, Sean Avery. These two teams hate each other, and it's fun to watch.

The Wiz gave a.. " you give a lot of oral sex" gesture at Avery, and Avery didn't say or do anything...
I wish we had the Wiz instead of some random 3rd round pick..

Yeah, I don't know what the Devils were thinking. That's quite a mess they've created for themselves. Lou must be losing his mind.

Richmondphil, glad someone else caught that. I thought that was great. The universal sign for s*cking you know what. Avery's gloves are glued on most nights.
Agree, that was a shrewd move by the Isles getting Wiz. He definitely plays D with an edge.

It's a shame that DJ isn't going to get to chat with him.

And remember Metro Center, McPherson Square and Farrigut West stations are closed and the Orange and Blue lines are not running through those stations (just through Monday though).

@uncommonsense
Start walking now! (Okay, I'm kidding, of course. But if Metro has several stations out of commission and we are discouraged from driving due to street closures, how are we expected to get to the game?)
