Video: Playoffs, Caps Have the Flu
Tarik was on Washington Post Live today to discuss all things Caps, including those magic numbers of 101 (to clinch a playoff berth) and 102 (to clinch the Southeast Division), plus that nasty bug going around the locker room.
In case you missed it, here's the clip:

Unfortunately, worst case scenario seems to have happened... Carolina defeats Florida in OT, 3-2. D'oh.
See you all tomorrow for Caps vs Leafs.

I agree with you, Rachel. Eewww! Grr. When will someone beat Carolina? Hate that team.

I hope the Caps can reel off a few wins so I can stop worrying about Carolina. They could maybe even get 4th seed. They play Pittsburgh once, NJ twice, and a bunch of crummy teams.

Here are a few on ice celebrations for your viewing pleasure:

Speaking of, I love this comment from THN:
"Hot dogging? Whatever. Ovechkin’s job is to score goals. Let’s worry about showboating when John Erskine pulls his jersey over his head or Sammy Pahlsson sticks his arms out like an airplane after scoring."

Does Laing get paid better since his injury occurred while a Cap, as opposed to a Bear?

Thats a good question!

I installed the latest Flash plug-in for both Internet Explorer and Firefox, and I was not able to view the clip in either...

That's pretty cool! But I bet even the biggest Ovi detractors are actually fans (including Cherry ;-)).
Greg:
Wow, you did have a real insiders view! I think all arenas have different entertainment. For example, in Carolina they played what was essentially broomball, but the players were all sorts of different mascots (including Slapshot!). It was pretty funny.

Huh. Always thought it was Tuh-reek. Never knew is was Tare-ick. Duly noted. LOVE the blog. Stuck up here in Pittsburgh where the hockey blogs are thin on info, and about 2 months old. Kudos Tarik (and Lindsay and Katie)

Boo,
That second link with the goalie celebration floored me. Hilarious!
You should send that to McKenna in Tampa. He can use it next time he makes a big stop instead of whining because he got schooled. That, or just shut his rookie trap.
