Boudreau: No partying for Capitals before the Winter Classic
Friday may be New Year's Eve, but it's also the night before the Winter Classic, the Capitals' biggest game of the regular season, and Coach Bruce Boudreau said he would be "extremely disappointed" if his players stay out all night.
"If I have to say anything to the players on New Year's Eve, they're in the wrong business," Boudreau said. "Then you'll know right away what kind of character you'll have on the team. Of course young guys want to go out, but this is a one o'clock game the next day and it's the most important game for hockey this side of the playoffs. If they're out, I would be extremely disappointed."
The game is still scheduled for 1 p.m. at Heinz Field, but stay tuned to the Capital Weather Gang for updates on the rain moving toward Pittsburgh.
