Forecast: From Sunny to Stormy
Rain and snow likely Sunday evening
The sun demands you do your outdoor deeds today. By tomorrow, clouds lower and thicken, and storminess likely approaches from the south. Rain is likely by the afternoon, possibly changing to snow overnight.
Mostly sunny. 50-55. It will be hard to believe there's a possibility of snow tomorrow night with mainly cloud-free skies and temperatures about 10 degrees above average. I suppose some high clouds may start to stream in late in the afternoon, but not before the mercury exceeds 50 degrees. Overnight, clouds will increase with lows ranging from the low 30s in the north and west suburbs to the mid 30s downtown.
PM rain, changing to snow at night. Low 40s. The clouds will gradually lower and thicken with rain developing in the afternoon. Highs will be in the low 40s but should fall into the upper 30s shortly after the rain begins.
Overnight, rain may change to snow from northwest to southeast across the area, with a period of moderate to heavy precipitation. All of this should end before Monday morning's commute. Lows should range from 31-34. For a lot more detailed information on different storm scenarios, watch for the Snow Lover's Crystal Ball.
