Update: Some Slick Spots, But No Hard Freeze

Ice coats a car this morning in Oakton, Va. By Capital Weather Gang photographer Kevin Ambrose.
*A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through 9am Saturday morning*
A final little batch of showers is departing the area off to the northeast with temperatures at all three local airports above freezing. Clouds and fog will act as a blanket overnight, preventing temperatures from dropping too far from where they are now, in the low to mid 30s.
Tonight: Not expecting a widespread hard freeze. But some wet spots may refreeze overnight and be slick into the early morning, mainly north and west of town, as temperatures settle in the low 30s. It's likely to be a misty and cloudy night with some patchy drizzle and areas of fog developing.
The Weekend: While morning fog will eventually lift, mostly cloudy skies will make for a grey Saturday with highs near 40, maybe in the low 40s and a slight chance of a sprinkle or shower. Clearing skies Saturday night with lows in the low-to-mid 20s in the burbs, upper 20s to near 30 downtown. For Sunday, we'll have to keep an eye on some cloudiness passing to the south, but for now it looks like a partly to mostly sunny day with highs in the mid 40s.

Chance on the 28th/29th, slim & none at all & slim just left the room. No low pressure area & temps in 40's. Probably time 2 give up the snow ghost 4 this season.
