CommuteCast: Delightful Weather Continues
Warmer and mostly sunny Friday; severe storms Saturday?
A beautiful Thursday has shaped up across the region as temperatures rise to highs in the upper 70s in most places and a few 80-degree or higher readings. Clear skies of today will continue into the evening, with maybe a passing cloud or two. A light and variable breeze will also continue into the evening.
Tonight: Clear skies will dominate, and temperatures will be a bit warmer than last night. Lows will drop close to seasonal averages, hitting the upper 50s in the city and the low 50s in the suburbs, with light or calm winds.
Tomorrow: Another nice day is on tap across the area for Friday. Temperatures will rise higher than today, which means low 80s just about everywhere. Some increase in clouds is possible late in the day as winds increase to around 10 to 20 mph from the south.
See Josh's full forecast through early next week, which includes the chance of moderate to severe thunderstorms on Saturday.

I think parts of the mid-atlantic or northeast have a decent shot at getting a moderate risk of severe weather for Sat.. will have to see on timing still.

Speaking of severe weather, anybody have any insight into this event in central New York this past Saturday? A tornado formed well separated from the actual thunderstorm... pretty interesting.

Models still look fairly impressive. However, LWX seems more unsure now.
