CommuteCast: Another Pleasant Evening

Hot Thursday with a risk of storms late

Warm temperatures continue today with low (but rising) humidity levels. Highs are now reaching the mid and upper 80s across the region under partly sunny skies. Expect temperatures to fall back through the mid and low 80s throughout the evening -- it should be another great one for outdoor activities.

Tonight: Humidity levels will be on the rise, so tonight should not be quite as cool as the last two. Temperatures are expected to fall into the mid 60s in the suburbs and to right around 70 in the city. Winds will be light and variable throughout the night.

Tomorrow: Thursday will start the next stretch of hot and humid weather. Afternoon highs should reach the low to mid 90s across the entire area. These temperatures, when mixed with a bit more humidity, may allow heat indices to rise into the upper 90s in some spots. There is also a risk of afternoon or evening storms, but they should be rather isolated if any form.

Check out NatCast for tonight's game, and Dan's full forecast through the weekend.

jbroon:
I answered your comments in yesterdays column by Andrew titled "Increasingly Going To Extremes". As always, I will be looking forward to Andrew's column next week.

Otherwise, June has witnessed 3.56 inches of rain at my location in the Valley compared to 4.05 at Reagan National. Many locations close to me have received much less, therefore we are moisture stressed, considering low moisture values after a dry winter.. Guidance is very uncertain going forward, but the next 5 days offers a chance of some strong storms, especially over the weekend.
