NBC and Time Warner Battle for Weather Channel

Just over a week ago, we wrote about rumors that NBC Universal and a group of investors had won the bidding competition for The Weather Channel. A more recent news report from Reuters suggest it's not over and that Time Warner remains in the game: "[T]he two sides are negotiating for the best contract and the best price," according to the article and the Wall Street Journal had a similar report.

Indications are that this matter will be settled soon. We'll keep you posted.

As long as the Discovery Channel doesn't buy it, it will probably do fine.
