Photography: Rudin's Rainbows

A double rainbow as seen from a rooftop in Dupont Circle Wednesday at 6 p.m. By Steve Rudin.
Steve Rudin, a broadcast meteorologist working at WJLA (ABC-7) and News Channel 8, captured some beautiful rainbow images as sunshine interacted with showers Wednesday evening. He kindly contributed several to the Capital Weather Gang. Enjoy!
Keep reading to see another great shot from Steve. See Jason's post for the full weekend forecast and NatCast to see if storms will threaten tonight's game.

I can't remember the last time I saw a double rainbow. Funny how the rainbow popped up just as the Tim Russert memoraial service was ending at the Kennedy Center.

i happened to be watching channel 7 as they showed the rainbow on their whatever-cam. it was amazing; full double arc right over the washington monument. Doug Hill actually said he had never seen anything like it.
Thanks, Steve, for sharing the beautiful pics!
