PM Update: Clear Skies and Mild Temperatures
Friday ends work week on sunny and warm note
Another day of haze-free blue skies and low humidity levels has unfolded across the area as highs reach into the low and mid 80s this afternoon. The high pressure system responsible for keeping Tropical Storm Fay well south of the area is settling in for a several day stretch of benign weather. To those looking to the sky for rain, it's just not coming in the short term.
Tonight: Mostly clear skies and low humidity levels will lead to another pleasantly cool night. Lows will drop into the upper 50s in the suburbs and into the mid 60s for the city. Winds will be light and variable.
Tomorrow: However you felt about today, prepare to feel the same tomorrow. Temperatures may top out a degree or two higher than today, rising into the mid 80s just about everywhere. Otherwise, mostly sunny skies and light winds will lead to a trouble-free (at least on the weather front) end to the workweek.

Jamie,
With all due respect to your programming prowess, making blanket statements as a non-employee of WaPo/WPNI regarding what the Mother Ship and/or its subsidiaries may or may not be doing is rather disingenuous, at best.

There are still 10 days to go, of course, but so far this month we are only 0.01" above the driest August in 1962.
