PM Update: Some Rain to End the Work Week
Warm start to the weekend Saturday
Clouds have been the story of the day so far, and rain is now spreading across much of the region this afternoon. Before the rain began, most places topped out in the upper 70s and low 80s, and readings are now falling back into the low and mid 70s as showers become more widespread. The shower threat should continue into the evening.
Tonight: Showers remain possible through at least midnight, though the heaviest rainfall should stay focused north of the area, and it may not rain much after the first batch passes through this afternoon and early evening. After midnight, the shower threat will begin to subside. Lows should drop to the upper 60s to around 70 in most locations.
Tomorrow: Saturday will be mostly cloudy and warm with a risk of a passing shower or two, especially during the afternoon. Humidity levels will remain rather high for September as well, so it won't be the most comfortable of late-summer days. Highs should top out in the mid 80s across the area.
