Photography: Fine Weather for Golf Tournament
Redskins' legends tee it up

Brian Mitchell, NFL record holder and sports host, crushes a drive at the ESPN Redskin Radio Golf Tournament. In this photo, the golf club appears invisible during the swing, but the ball traveled 350 yards straight down the middle of the fairway.
As a kid, I have vivid memories of the Washington Redskins quarterback controversy, Sonny vs. Billy. I was a big Sonny Jurgensen fan, but many of my friends liked Billy Kilmer. We had many lively debates on the subject, discussing the finer points to throwing a spiral, which Kilmer never could quite master. Fast forward to this past Wednesday and I found myself on the golf course at the ESPN Redskin Radio Golf Tournament, reliving those memories with none other than Sonny Jurgensen. It was a great day, the weather was fantastic, I only wish my golf game was better.
Keep reading for a few photos of the foliage and golf course at the Evergreen Country Club in Haymarket, Virginia, and a photo of me with Sonny. For the weather through Columbus Day, see our full forecast and see SkinsCast for Sunday's game.
