A Cold Snap Fiercer Than Recent Januarys

How cold was it last Tuesday through Sunday? Colder than it's been in January most of the time the last three years!

The average temperature over those six days (Nov. 18-23) was 35. Here are the number of days the average temperature in January was colder than that the last three years:

2006: 3
2007: 12
2008: 7

In light of this, the 50-degree temperatures in our full forecast sure do sound nice...
