National Christmas Tree, Sans Snow
* Bitter Cold Takes a Break: Express & Detailed Forecast *

The National Christmas Tree and the National Hanukkah Menorah on a blustery evening last Sunday.
I had high hopes that I'd get to photograph the National Christmas Tree with snow this holiday season. In recent years, some December snowstorms have provided good opportunities for snowy Christmas tree photos. This December, however, the storms have not taken tracks favorable for snow in D.C., leaving us with a lot of rain and a bit of sleet. So, I chose a cold, blustery but rain-free evening this past Sunday for my National Christmas Tree photo shoot.
Also included here are snow photos from past Decembers -- maybe the pictures will inspire the weather gods to soon bring snow to the mid-Atlantic. I know I'm ready for it.
