Here Come the 60s, Again

By Capital Weather Gang

PM Update is off today, but refer to Brian's Full Forecast for the outlook through the weekend, which features highs back near and above 60 over the next couple days.

More threat of thunderstorms than of winter weather late Wednesday.

Saturday is somewhat promising but the projected high temperature of 35 to 43 argues more for a slushy mess or a cold rain.

If the surface low can stay intact long enough to produce the precipitation, and then transfer it's energy at just the right time to the developing low off the coast to reinforce cold air, we just might see some snow.
Then again, this is winter in the DC area. Dream on!

Weekend-through the end of Feb look potentialy snow! Honestly..I think its all over for us. Depending on tonights Euro, GFS has been trending warmer for the 16-20 storm. It also has a dream storm at the end of the period....but then again this is the winter of 2009 where we have been nearly snowless and this is DC lol. 88 degrees sound good??
