Any Day Can Be a Snow Day: Create a Flake

* Warmin' Up: Full Forecast | What Will You Do With Extra Daylight? *

Some of you are probably salivating at the prospect of 70-degree weather this weekend. Others of you, however, may see the spring fling as a bittersweet sign that winter and the chances of more snow are slipping away (though March is known for swinging from cold, to warm, and back again, so there's still hope).

For those who fall into the latter group, I found a Web site that can help. SnowDays lets you create your own virtual snowflake. You can also search through and respond to the more than 8 million flakes already created.

It's no substitute for the real thing, but at least a fun distraction as the last of the snow from our early-week storm melts away.

Fun! Thanks for posting this, Dan. (I only now remembered to go back to your post and try it.) I could have wasted much less paper last December practicing my snowflakes virtually before cutting them by hand. Something to remember next winter...
