FORECAST IN DETAIL
The atmosphere is multi-tasking this week, which means its memory is short. After a nice Monday, we're looking at a cool and cloudy day today. But by tomorrow, we'll have forgotten about that as we soar into the low 70s again. Wednesday will be a distant memory by Thursday though as a new cooler-than-normal air mass settles into the area. The atmosphere is flipping fast and furious from cool to warm to cool. Unfortunately, when the music stops this weekend, we'll be on the cool side.

Today (Tuesday): Coat weather is back with a cool breeze from the north and northeast. Clouds and possible light showers (30% chance) will add to the gloomy Tuesday weather feeling. Temperatures will struggle toward 50. Confidence: High
Tonight: More clouds, but winds shift so that they blow from the south again (thank you, warm front). Temperatures will hold steady or fall just slightly from their late afternoon levels (mid-to-upper 40s mainly). Confidence: Medium-High
Keep reading for the forecast through the weekend...
Tomorrow (Wednesday): A warm surge greets mid-week here with lower 70s, partial sunshine, and an opportunity for a stray shower or thundershower in the afternoon/evening period (30% chance). Confidence: Medium
Tomorrow Night: Another cold front brings another temperature change. Temperatures fall into the 30s for most spots (near 40 downtown). Confidence: Medium
Thursday and Friday are in a cooler, partly sunny air mass with Thursday highs in the low 50s and Friday highs mainly in the 40s. Lows Friday morning should range from the 20s to the lower 30s. Confidence: Medium
We may need to watch for some light precipitation Friday night, which could take the form of either light rain or snow. No major concerns are expected though. Confidence: Low
The weekend is not poised to repeat last weekend's big warming. Instead, temperatures should be about 20 degrees less impressive (in the low-to-mid 50s for highs and 20s to 30s for lows). Partly cloudy skies are expected with a chance of showers appearing by Sunday night. This may set the stage for a wet start to our next work week. Confidence: Low-Medium

Kevin, I saw the moon last night around the same time and was wishing I had my camera on me while out.
