NatCast: Not So Nice. Thunderstorm?

* Our Full Forecast | Weather Wall | Nationals Journal *

Nationals vs. Braves
Monday April 20, 7:05 p.m., Nationals Park
First Pitch9th InningWeatherChance of Rain
56F56FShowers; T-storm?60%
Some on and off showers are possible, and a thunderstorm could roll through as well (40% chance). The cool, showery and potentially stormy conditions won't make for the nicest night at the ballpark.

With rain all day, there is no way this game goes on

The NatsCast link hasn't been updated to show this forecast; it still brings up Sunday afternoon's.

It is almost 3:00, when will they make a decision? I have folks coming in from out of town but do not want to get on Metro and then hear the game is cancelled. GO ahead and reschedule it both teams have an off day Thursday, duh!!!

NatsBravesfan

They made a decision at around 4:20 last week. However, the rain looks like it is supposed stop, although there are scatter T-storms for tonight.

Keep an eye on the www.nationals.com and

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/nationalsjournal/

or you can call 202-675-6287 option 5 to get a game update (although they were the last to notify fans of the cancelled game)

Thanks brothbart.
Just doesn't seem to make much sense to try and play the game. You've got a new (possible) pitcher of the future in his first game and you put him out there on a less than perfect field?
Oh well, guess you can always sell hot chocolate, unless they don't have it or run out.

I agree. It makes no sense to play since they both have an off day on Thursday. Even if they want to get the game in I wouldn't start Zimmermann.
