Widely scattered thunderstorms, some severe, have developed mainly east of the metro area. Some of the most intense activity is occurring near and just northeast of Baltimore, Md. In Baltimore County, a tornado warning was issued through 4:15 p.m. In the immediate metro area and points north and west, most of the thunderstorm activity is likely over for the day. Through this evening, it will be partly cloudy, breezy and warm, with just a 20% chance of a rogue storm.

Everything is well east of the city. Strong northwest flow right now. Good weather for the Nats game. No rain tonight.

Very heavy downpour just past over the Blue Ridge east of Front Royal. No lighting or thunder observed, just some lightning bugs earlier. Power flickered for several seconds.

Jason, even though Stafford is under a tornado watch until 8pm, is most of the activity over for us as well? We had two heavy t-storms earlier this afternoon.
