FORECAST IN DETAIL
For the second weekend in a row we have the threat of rain on Saturday. But unlike last week, which saw a well-organized storm system dump more than an inch of rain in many spots, this time we're faced with a run-of-the-mill cold front that may not have a ton of moisture with it. So Satuday shower chances aren't all that high, and Sunday should be spectacular.

Today (Friday): Mostly cloudy morning skies, with a chance of a brief shower or sprinkle, give way to partly sunny skies in the afternoon. It'll take some time, but once some sun breaks through highs will likely climb into the 70s as a breeze from the south increases to around 10-15 mph. Confidence: Medium-High
Tonight: Skies cloud over again by evening with a 30% chance of a few evening or overnight showers. Temperatures won't dip too far -- lows in the low 60s downtown, around 56-59 or so outside the city. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow (Saturday): A cold front approaches and moves through the area, but doesn't look like it will have a lot of moisture to work with. So as of now, the chance of isolated to scattered showers is only about 30% (better chances along and east of the Chesapeake Bay). Highs should make the upper 70s with partly sunny skies. Confidence: Medium
Tomorrow Night: Small chance of an early shower. Then partly to mostly clear as winds shift to come out of the northwest behind the cold front. Temperatures may dip into the mid-50s downtown. A light breeze mixing the atmosphere around should prevent the suburbs from getting much cooler than the upper 40s to low 50s. Confidence: Medium
Sunday: Partly to mostly sunny skies should prevail with a light breeze from the west and highs making a run at the mid-70s. Break out that grill!..may be worth it! Confidence: Medium-High
A mostly clear end to our weekend on Sunday night with dry conditions and lows around 50. Confidence: Medium-High
Monday looks like a bright start to our week. We should stay dry and mostly sunny with highs in the 70s. That's some awesome autumn weather! Confidence: Medium-High
The early read on Tuesday is for increasing clouds and maybe a chance of showers with highs continuing in the 70s. Confidence: Low-Medium

Much better outlook for my dance tonight & picnic tomorrow with the threat of rain reduced to 30%; hope it stays there & the much-needed-rain crowd holds off till Saturday night, at least!
