In stretches like this it starts to become tricky to keep describing the perfectly pleasant weather. Well, it's still pretty darn nice and it looks to stay that way for some time. Highs are reaching the upper 70s to around 80 this afternoon under sunny skies. If you were stuck inside during the past few days, fear not -- the weekend will be equally awesome.
Through Tonight: Another brilliant evening is in store as readings fall back toward the mid-60s near sunset. The rest of the night will be mostly clear and calm as lows settle around 50 in the suburbs to the mid-50s downtown.
Tomorrow (Saturday): The weekend starts of beautifully with mostly sunny skies tomorrow. Morning temperatures rising through the 60s will be near 70 by noon and end up ranging from the mid-70s to around 80 late in the day. Do yourself a favor and spend some time outside!

Definitely looks like a tropical or subtropical storm forming in the Gulf, but that's way out in fantasy land so it could be gone with the next update! Either way, it looks mild through much of the period -- perhaps some cool down late next week but signs of more good warmth after. So far ridging on the east coast has been able to flex a bit lately (intermixed with cutoff nor'easters).

Here next to the Convention Center downtown, we got up to 79 degrees today. Not bad! ;) ps- I can't wait till we start seeing tropical weather. It's my bread-and-butter :)

Great weather for sleeping with the windows open. If only those birds wouldn't wake me too early.

Looks as though the Japanese cherries have already peaked in some areas. By parade time there will be no blossoms left.

What is THAT at 336 hrs on the 12Z GFS in the GOM? A little early to be seeing that, eh?
