PM Update: Cool breezes through tonight
Back near average Saturday; Awesome Sunday!
Highs today are cooler than average for the first time in over a week, and I must say it's kind of nice. Temperatures have slowly risen into the upper 50s across the area this afternoon, but a strong wind from the north and northwest has added an extra chill. The good news is yesterday evening's rain knocked pollen counts down a bit, but they remain high and will likely rise again in the coming days. How does this allergy season compare to those in the past for you?
Through Tonight: This will be a good evening and night to pull back out some cool-weather gear if you did not this morning. Evening temperatures fall through the 50s on their way to lows ranging from the mid-30s in the suburbs to lower 40s downtown. Winds gusting near and past 30 mph today will ease a bit overnight, but they'll still blow around 10 mph with higher gusts.
Tomorrow (Saturday): Saturday will still be cooler than recently but temperatures will be about as close to average (65 at National; 64 at Dulles) as we get around here. Sunny skies and lighter winds from the west should make it a pretty pleasant one as highs rise toward the mid-60s across the area.
