A beautiful evening at the Vietnam Memorial

American flags and flowers have been placed at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, May 31, 2010.

I've always felt that the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is best viewed on Memorial Day. The gifts, the people, and the displays at the memorial are both touching and amazing. I made the drive to Washington to visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial late on Memorial Day. The weather was quite warm and breezy and it was a very pleasant evening for a walk on the Mall.

The photographs posted here are from my stroll along the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The evening light seemed to accentuate the reflections on the memorial's polished granite walls.
