Severe Thunderstorm Watch for D.C. area

The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 9 p.m. for the entire metro area. Here are excerpts from the watch text:

STORMS TO INCREASE IN COVERAGE ACROSS THE WATCH AREA THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS
HAIL TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE.

Magenta colors on radar indicate very severe storm(s)... central VA, piedmont of VA, is about to get rocked. eesh.
