StrasCast: One last hurdle
* Our Full Forecast | Weather Wall | NatCast | Nationals Journal *
So, where are we in "As the Strasburg start turns?" Friday, June 4th was looking like a celebration of the start of major league Stras-mania in Washington, D.C., but quickly turned into a minor league farwell appearance in Buffalo today. That means that Stephen Strasburg's D.C. debut has been delayed to the June 8th game against the Pirates (tickets kind of still available). That is, of course, if the weather cooperates. (The Nationals have previously tried to maintain Strasburg's schedule of pitching every fifth day, so inclement weather on one of his scheduled starts could change the schedule once again.) So, each day, as the weather warrants, we'll update you on how the forecast is shaping up for Strasburg's next start and what it means for Strasmas...
StrasCast - Scheduled Minor League Farewell

Projected start: Thursday June 3 vs Buffalo Bison
Location: Buffalo , N.Y.
First Pitch: 1:05 p.m.
Forecast: Partly Cloudy, mid 70s
Chance of delay/postponement: 3%
Outlook: Chance of a thunderstorm later in the afternoon should not impact Strasburg's start
StrasCast - Projected Major League Debut

Projected start: Tuesday June 8th vs Pittsburgh Pirates
Location: Washington, D.C.
First Pitch: 7:05 p.m.
Outlook: Still a long way out, but it does not look to be a fullday washout, which is the first step to getting nice weather.
