Nationals vs. PhilliesSunday, August 1, 1:35 p.m., Nationals Park
| First Pitch | 9th Inning | Weather | Chance of Rain |
| Upper 70s | Lower 80s | Mostly cloudy, chance for brief showers | 50% |
We'll kick off August with a less than summery day with temperatures barely cracking 80. A shower or two may sweep through but shouldn't do much to disrupt the game for too long.

Nats would have been better off trading Dunn than Capps. Without a closer we may have relegated ourselves to yet another last-place finish. Dunn becomes a free agent at the end of the year and we could re-sign him after he finishes the season with a playoff contender.
Finishing last in the NL East won't give us top spot in the 2011 draft. There are three to five MLB teams likely to finish 2010 with a lower W-L percentage than the Nats.
