Last winter was fun...but it did get hard to get around right after the big storms...let's hope for a more "normal" winter this time around.
BTW our last La Nina winter [2008/09] did not feature that much accumulation, but had plenty of flurry events!

Most of the 2008-09 accumulation came in a single snowfall c.a. Feb 28-March 1.
But there was the rather infamous late January snow of less than 2" which closed schools and which led the newly inaugurated President to observe,
"My children's school was canceled today because of what? Some ice." http://www.wtop.com/?nid=25&sid=1585670
A little more than a year later, the President was using the term "snowmageddon" to describe the Feb. 5-6 snowfall. Online sources don't agree re: the origins of this term, but my recollection is CWG coined it.

I loved the snow. Loved every minute of it AND loved getting off work
I say.....bring it on! More snow!

It's my impression that most of the regular posters here are snow junkies.
You can certainly count me in that catagory. Get that SLCB polished & ready.
