Today on the Hill
The House convened at 10 a.m. ET and will consider three bills under suspension of the rules:
• H.R. 35 - Presidential Records Act (Rep. Towns - Oversight and Government Reform)
• H.R. 36 - Presidential Library Donation Reform Act (Rep. Towns - Oversight and Government Reform)
• S.J. Res. 3 - Ensuring that the compensation and other emoluments attached to the office of Secretary of the Interior are those which were in effect on January 1, 2005. (Oversight and Government Reform)
The Senate will convene at 11:30 a.m. ET for morning business and will recess from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. to accommodate the weekly Democratic caucus luncheon.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid( Nev.) and Majority Whip Richard Durbin (Ill.) met with Roland Burris in an effort to resolve the question of whether or not Burris will be seated in the Senate.
