Today on the Hill

The House convenes at 10 a.m. and is expected to consider H. J. Res. 3 regarding the release of funds under the economic stimulus package. Among other resolutions is one (H. Res. 58) commending the Florida Gators football team on its recent national championship.

The Senate will convene at 9:30 a.m. to resume consideration of S. 181, the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.

Noteworthy House Hearings

Armed Services -- On preventing the buildup of weapons of mass destruction and terrorism. Former Sens. Bob Graham and Jim Talent, and chairman and vice chairman of the Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferation and Terrorism are among those to testify.

Energy and Commerce -- Markup of the economic stimulus bill, 10 a.m.

Transportation and Infrastructure -- The nation's infrastructure and the economic stimulus package, 10 a.m.

Ways and Means -- Markup of the draft economic recovery bill, 10 a.m.

Judiciary -- The Helping Families Save Their Homes in Bankruptcy Act of 2009 and the Emergency Homeownership and Equity Protection Act, 2 p.m.

Key Senate Hearing

Select Intelligence -- Considers confirmation of Dennis Blair for Director of National Intelligence, 10 a.m.

Finance -- Expected to confirm Timothy Geithner as treasury secretary.
