Today on the Hill
The Senate convenes at 11 a.m. ET for morning business. The House is not scheduled to meet. Only two House hearings are scheduled for today:
House Appropriations (9:30 a.m.): Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Subcommittee holds a hearing on the base posture and supplemental request. Gen. David Petraeus, commander of the U.S. Central Command, testifies. 2359 Rayburn
House Energy and Commerce (10 a.m.): Energy and Environment Subcommittee holds a hearing on The American Clean Energy Security Act of 2009, Day 4. Al Gore, Newt Gingrich and John Warner will testify. 2123 Rayburn.
