Today on the Hill

The Senate convenes at 9:30 a.m. ET to resume consideration of S.1390, the Department of Defense Authorization Act. There will be a possible cloture vote on a hate crimes amendment introduced by Majority Leader Harry Reid.

The House meets a 10:00 a.m. to take up complete consideration of H.R. 3183, the Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2010.

The Senate Judiciary Committee will continue the confirmation hearings of Supreme Court nominee, Judge Sonia Sotomayor, at 9:30 a.m.

Senators Mark Warner and Jim Webb please vote against cloture on S 909 Hate Crimes Bill. This is against the bill. Please call their offices and ask them to vote against cloture. Call the regional offices to get through in time, don't just leave a message on a tape.
