Today on the Hill
The Senate convenes at 9:30 a.m. ET. Following morning business, the Senate will resume consideration of the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Democrats and Republicans will trade hours of debate from 10 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A vote on the nomination is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
Following the vote, the Senate will resume consideration of H.R.3435, a bill making supplemental appropriations for FY2010 for the Consumer Assistance to Recycle and Save Program.
The House is in recess through September 7.
