The Senate convenes at 10:00 a.m. ET. At 10:30, German Chancellor Angela Merkel will address a Joint Meeting of Congress. Following the Joint Meeting, the Senate will resume consideration of H.R.3548, the Unemployment Benefits Extension Act of 2009.
The House will meet at 9:00 a.m. for legislative business and recess immediately for the Joint Meeting.
