Baker has knee surgery
Virginia men's basketball senior guard Calvin Baker underwent arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday to remove a loose piece of cartilage in his right knee. He is expected to miss 2-3 weeks, which could sideline Baker for the Cavaliers' opener against Longwood on Nov. 13.
Baker underwent a similar procedure during the summer. He is among a group of point guards fighting for playing time, along with sophomore Sammy Zeglinski and freshman Jontel Evans.
